Valencia CF academy World Cup and players' week kick off this week

Valencia CF’s Ciutat Esportiva woke up to a special atmosphere this Monday. From early in the morning, players and their companions from Valencia CF Academy Programs across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Australia arrived proudly carrying their flags. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a spectacular photo backdrop featuring the image of the VCF Academy World Cup, offering the first glimpse of an unforgettable week ahead.

Ahead lies a week of training sessions and friendly matches against clubs from the #EscolesVCF network as preparations continue for the fifth edition of the VCF Academy World Cup. The U12 tournament gets underway this Thursday, when teams from Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and Belgium will also arrive, joining the squad made up of players from the Escoles VCF programme.

A multicultural gathering in which the 15 teams will compete for a place in the Sentiment, Valentia, and Germanor finals, with the ultimate goal of being crowned champions of the VCF Academy World Cup. In 2026, the tournament is proudly represented by ambassadors José Luis Gayà and Pauleta Sancho, who embody the values and spirit of the Valencia CF Academy.

Alongside the VCF Academy World Cup, the Players’ Week is also taking place, bringing together 100 boys and girls from the Valencia CF Academy Programs. Participants will take part in the U16 Elite Camp and the U14 Draft, enjoying an intensive week of training under the guidance of Valencia CF Academy coaches. Widely recognised as an international benchmark in player development, the Academy provides a world-class environment for young talents aspiring to compete at the highest level.

The VCF Academy World Cup and Players’ Week, together with the VCF Camps, VCF Academies, Technical Partners, Coaches Convention, Clinics, and Training Experiences, are just some of the initiatives that make up the Valencia CF Academy Programs. Each year, these programmes bring together more than 5,000 players from over 50 countries, reinforcing the global reach and international impact of the Valencia CF Academy.
